In this session participants will be able to acquire a better understanding of the uniqueness of an EAL student and develop strategies to reach young EAL students regardless of language barriers. Strategies will be offered to help and motivate EAL students to improve their language in class in an engaging, enjoyable way. The aim will be to create an inclusive and welcoming environment in your classroom for EAL learners.
Outcomes: A ‘toolbox’ of practical strategies to apply immediately into participants classrooms; a deeper understanding of EAL children’s experiences in classrooms.
