A lapbook is usually a single-subject book created by a student. A lapbook generally consists of a paperboard folder with smaller elements of paper arranged inside. These elements may contain facts, diagrams, illustrations, etc. related to the subject. Lapbooks can be adapted for any subject and grade level. Lapbooks can enhance creativity and critical thinking while integrating subjects such as science, language, history, geography, and mathematics, depending on the subject of the lapbook. Lapbooking is a process oriented method of teaching. In this session you will see examples and will have hands-on experience.
