Aki Schwan is an EAL teacher and also a Japanese MT teacher who helps
EAL students be successful at both international school curriculums and their MT development.
Before teaching at Bavarian international school, Aki spent eleven years as a teacher for Japanese supplementary schools and a language school in the U.S. and Germany. Aki earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education in 1992 from Ehime University in Japan. Aki encourages her Japanese students to apply for several literacy contests and her students have been winning regularly several awards since 2013.
Aki has been contributing to the research project “Language development of bilingual children” since 2012. Aki Schwan lives in Munich, Germany.
