I've been teaching Music (and TOK and Humanities) at BBIS since 2008. Before that I was a teacher, community musician and music education consultant in the UK, and I have been a practicing musician for all my adult life.

I studied History with African and Asian Studies at University of Sussex, UK, gained a Certificate in Jazz Studies at Chichester, and my teaching qualification from Leeds University,UK (PGCE). I also have a Certificate in Advanced Educational Practice from the Institute of Education (now UCL). I have contributed to books on music education and promoting equality in schools, and in 2015 I released my first collection of songs as a CD called 'Songs for a Fragile Planet' (Unterton).
